Report: Kanye West Will Show in Paris October 1, Riccardo Tisci Rumored to be Involved and a Young British Ghost Designer? (Updated)

This sounds legit. Kanye West will show a spring 2012 womenswear collection in Paris at 9:30pm on October 1, directly after Jean Paul Gauliter and Loewe, on a runway, Harper’s Bazaar Australia reports. (They have a bit of an inside source: HB Australia fashion editor Christine Centenera (who is also a freelance stylist) had reportedly been traveling to Paris twice monthly and consulting West on his clothing line since March.)

We were getting more inclined to believe the rumors that a Kanye West fashion show was set to take place in Paris. One indicator has been the fact that he’s been totally absent from the New York shows.

The rumors started in June, got a little confusing as to where West would show, and then became a bit more firm via a confident-sounding tweet from Models.com’s Wayne Sterling last week: ”Hiss hiss. Which ultra-power stylist is now playing in Kayne’s [sic] camp for his blue chip Paris showing. And it IS a Paris showing kids!”

That’s the other component people keep buzzing about: who exactly is helping Kanye, who has no design training or real experience (unless you count those scarves for M/M), pull this off? Or rather, who isn’t? Here’s a quick rundown of all the fashion people he’s been tied to since all these “Kanye West clothing line” rumors began:

Phoebe Philo
British designer Louise Goldin
Central Saint Martins‘ head of MA fashion, Louise Wilson (this one was actually confirmed)
A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou
Giuseppe Zanotti
Harper’s Bazaar Australia fashion editor and stylist Christine Centenera (sort of confirmed)

Now, Page Six is reporting that West has tapped Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci, who designed the album art for Watch the Throne, as a mentor. However, our own sources say it’s ‘a bright london kid doing the collection’. Hmm.

Is there room for all these fashion insiders to play a role in just one collection (that will have Kanye’s name on it). If so, this could either end up being really good or really strange. What do you think?

Olivia Wilde Covers Allure October 2011

Adding another magazine cover to her credit, Olivia Wilde is featured on the front of Allure's October 2011 issue.

The “House” hottie talks about deeply personal things like her divorce in the accompanying interview, confessing, “It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to deal with.”

However, she says she gained perspective from the experience- “I got married at a very young age, so I sort of jumped into a stage of adulthood prematurely. I learned quite a lot.”

As for her rumored dating life these days, Olivia says her schedule is pretty sparse. “I mean, in order to be dating all the people they think I am, I’d need four vaginas! It is impossible!”

Ms. Wilde also shared the challenges that came with playing Justin Timberlake’s mom in “In Time.” "We were rehearsing, and I remember the director saying, 'No, stop! It looks like you're going to make out.' 'Nope—that looks like you're going to make out, too.' We were like, 'Oh, God.’ I had to find a way to think of him as my son… He's got these incredible blue eyes, so I imagined him as a little baby Justin. And he was able to transfer a lot of his feelings about his mom onto me. We're both total acting nerds."

Justin Timberlake & Amanda Seyfried Cover W October 2011

Dressed as a picture-perfect political couple, Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried are featured on the cover of the October 2011 issue of W Magazine.

And in the accompanying interview, the “Cry Me a River” stud talks about how his first gig on “Saturday Night Live” really propelled him into the acting game.

“Yeah, I would say that. Hosting SNL was something I’d always wanted to do. The show allowed me to play to my strengths—mixing music with comedy seemed like a way into that world. And then, the second time I hosted, I did the digital short.”

Meanwhile, Amanda shared that her love scenes with Justin in their new film “In Time” were a blast to shoot.

“Sex scenes are great. A lot of my costars have been sexy guys my age, and so, why not? I’m not going to pretend it’s not fun. Justin was great—he had come from doing Friends With Benefits, where he basically had sex every day at work—and so it was easy for both of us. We just kind of got it on, and then were like, ‘That was good!’”

As for the film’s plot, Amanda explained, “It’s set in the future, where money buys you time. My character falls in love with Justin’s character—she wants to give him all the time he needs so he can save the world. It’s very romantic. No matter what’s happening in my life, I can always get lost in the romances of my characters.”

The newlywed actress posed for a spread adorning the inside pages while chatting about topics such as having more children, fashion, her childhood career dreams and her upcoming movie "Dream House".

On having more children:
"Oh, I wouldn't make one just for the sake of giving my son a sibling, But...you never know." She smiles again, nervously, proclaims her fondness for Baby Gap and then--an interesting thought in passing, considering her new husband: "There's nothing like a blue-eyed boy in a stripy shirt."

On being recognized on the streets of New York:
"This is New York, where everyone is a star in their own movie; no one gives a fuck."

On her recent shopping spree:
"I do appreciate a good pan and a good knife," says Weisz, who has spent less time shopping for clothes and more time cruising high-end cooking stores, in what is perhaps a nod to her altered domestic status.

On growing up in the suburbs:
Her suburb was, she says, "a very freaky place." Weisz continues, "I don't know if the houses are haunted, but I think the suburbs are where bad things happen because it's the place where people try to live out bourgeois values and...well, if you don't let out what you really are, it's gonna come out in weird ways. You know? I think weird shit happens in the suburbs."

On how shoes have molded the characters she's played:
"Shoes can turn you into someone else in an instant," Weisz says. "I did a film called The Brothers Bloom, and I wore really clunky boots--and I was this eccentric weirdo," she recalls. "And then in The Whistleblower"--an independent film released this August where she plays a cop who exposes a European sex trafficking ring--"I wore police boots that made me walk tough." And her latest: Dream House, a thriller opening in September: "I am a wife redoing a home we just bought, and I wore a lot of light sneakers that are all cute and homey and make me feel kind of doo-doo-doo, I'm domestic and painting."

On finding the perfect pair of shoes:
"I've has this conversation with a girlfriend for 15 years that is kind of a joke, and kind of deathly serious, about finding the perfect pair of shoes," says Weisz. "I always want to feel like a can take off if I have to--the British expression is, 'shoes that let you run for the bus'--but I love high heels too."

On why she finds wearing high heels fun:
"Sometimes it's fun wearing very high heels and feeling needy...needy is great because you feel you need to rely on someone."

On Alexander McQueen's designs:
"His pieces are works of art, but he had such a bizarre relationship to his own body...he was always on diets and...well, my perception is that his clothes were almost like torture instruments."

On her childhood career dreams:
"Actually, I wanted to be a detective. And a paleontologist. I was really into fossils. Though perhaps I was just trying to impress adults that I knew that word."

On newsstands in the Land Down Under now, the former "Friends" star opened up to the magazine about a range of subjects such as her first job, what she'd be if she wasn't an actress and playing a horrible boss.

On her first job:
As an extra on my dad's (actor John Aniston) soap opera, Search For Tomorrow. When I was 12, I asked him if I could get a part on his show. I wore a yellow skating outfit, and I was kind of large. It's hard to look good in yellow, and I certainly did not. I remember I got a check for about $100, and I was blown away. Later, I waited a lot of tables, and I wasn't very good at that. I dropped more than one burger in customers' laps, and you just do not want all of that Swiss cheese and mushrooms in your pants. I wasn't a good waitress, but I was told that I was very nice and charming, so people liked me anyway.

On what she spent her first big paycheck on:
A vintage Mercedes. I was struggling a little bit in New York, working as a waitress at Jackson Hole [Mountain Resort in Wyoming], but not really getting any consistent acting work. Then, I moved out here to Los Angeles, and I started getting pilots and working pretty regularly. I still didn't make any decent money until I got on Friends. Practically every day for about a year, I'd drive by this beautiful car that was parked on Melrose [Avenue] with a "for sale" sign in it. It was a beautiful little vintage Mercedes 280SL. I had it fixed up, but it never worked. It was a lemon. Now I know why it was on the street for so long! I may have driven it three times, but I held on to it forever. It really represented something to me.

On what she'd be if she wasn't an actress:
Maybe an interior designer. I love seeing a house and thinking about how it should be redone or restored. I spent a lot of time doing my current house, and it’s beautiful. It's like a beautiful work of art and I’m very proud of it. But I recently realized that I’m into cozier spaces. My house is too big. I love to entertain there, but most of the time the house is empty. I just live in one room, and I don’t need all of the space. Now, I get to do that fun part again and look for a new one.

On having a blast playing a horrible boss:
I had a fantastic time playing one. Honestly, the character is so absurd. I'd never done anything like this part. It was degrading and uncomfortable for Charlie, and it was really fun for me! Right now, I'm directing a short film with Patricia Clarkson and Tony Shalhoub for Project Five, an anthology of short films about breast cancer. I'm trying to be a good boss; to have a good temper; know what I’m doing; and have everything in order. I think it's just about creating a positive environment. If you're going to kill 'em, you've got to kill 'em with kindness.

Angelina Jolie Covers Vanity Fair October 2011

Adding another magazine cover to her credit, Angelina Jolie is on the front of Vanity Fair's October 2011 issue.

The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress gets real about her crazy life and constantly evolving career in the accompanying interview.

When asked about plans for the future, Jolie simply stated, “No secret wedding...I’m not pregnant. I’m not adopting at the moment.”

As for her partner Brad Pitt’s role in helping her professionally, she shared, “He’s been so supportive. But it’s hard to separate the person that loves you from the critic, so I don’t think he’s a fair judge.”

And Angelina also noted that writing/directing her flick “In the Land of Blood and Honey” may have made her even more jaded from future directors. “Brad thinks I’m going to be a nightmare…I had such a good experience he thinks I’m going to be impatient with directors, which I already am.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger's First Post-Scandal Movie Starts Shooting This October

He'll be back…pretty soon!

Last month, we heard that Arnold Schwarzenegger signed on for his first post-scandal movie called Last Stand, which is a western flick that's been in development at Lionsgate for a long time.

Here's what a Lionsgate exec had to say about it at the time:

"It's a property which a zillion directors fell in love with: the good, the bad, the weird. It's an old-fashioned Western specifically designed for a 63-year-old broken-down guy with a moral decision whether Arnold decides to stand up for his town. We always needed an iconic figure for it."

"I can tell you from The Expendables it was electrifying when Arnold came on. He is still a big piece of news."

Now, we've just learned that Arnold's new movie is set to start shooting in Belen, New Mexico this October.

It's really gonna be interesting to see if people embrace Arnold's return or not. Guess we'll find out soon enough!
