Report: Kanye West Will Show in Paris October 1, Riccardo Tisci Rumored to be Involved and a Young British Ghost Designer? (Updated)

This sounds legit. Kanye West will show a spring 2012 womenswear collection in Paris at 9:30pm on October 1, directly after Jean Paul Gauliter and Loewe, on a runway, Harper’s Bazaar Australia reports. (They have a bit of an inside source: HB Australia fashion editor Christine Centenera (who is also a freelance stylist) had reportedly been traveling to Paris twice monthly and consulting West on his clothing line since March.)

We were getting more inclined to believe the rumors that a Kanye West fashion show was set to take place in Paris. One indicator has been the fact that he’s been totally absent from the New York shows.

The rumors started in June, got a little confusing as to where West would show, and then became a bit more firm via a confident-sounding tweet from Models.com’s Wayne Sterling last week: ”Hiss hiss. Which ultra-power stylist is now playing in Kayne’s [sic] camp for his blue chip Paris showing. And it IS a Paris showing kids!”

That’s the other component people keep buzzing about: who exactly is helping Kanye, who has no design training or real experience (unless you count those scarves for M/M), pull this off? Or rather, who isn’t? Here’s a quick rundown of all the fashion people he’s been tied to since all these “Kanye West clothing line” rumors began:

Phoebe Philo
British designer Louise Goldin
Central Saint Martins‘ head of MA fashion, Louise Wilson (this one was actually confirmed)
A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou
Giuseppe Zanotti
Harper’s Bazaar Australia fashion editor and stylist Christine Centenera (sort of confirmed)

Now, Page Six is reporting that West has tapped Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci, who designed the album art for Watch the Throne, as a mentor. However, our own sources say it’s ‘a bright london kid doing the collection’. Hmm.

Is there room for all these fashion insiders to play a role in just one collection (that will have Kanye’s name on it). If so, this could either end up being really good or really strange. What do you think?

Christina Aguilera Threatens Legal Action After Child Abuse Report - TaleTela

Christina Aguilera is considering taking legal action against a celebrity gossip site that suggested that her son Max was a victim of child abuse.

Pictures that emerged yesterday of the three-year-old showed him with heavy black eyes, while Aguilera tried to shield him from the prying paparazzi at the airport.

The site mediatakeout.com published the pictures on its site with the headline: "CHILD ABUSE???? CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S SON IS PHOTO'D WITH A BLACK EYE!!!"

After the 36-year-old singer got wind of the report, she set her legal team on the case and now her lawyer Eric Greenspan branded the report as "reckless and unconsciousable".

In a letter to the site, the lawyer said: "Christina is a wonderful mother and was not present in the park when Max fell and hurt himself.

"To imply that she had something to do with this incident, without any investigation on your part whatsoever, is reckless and unconscionable."

The letter continued: "...We reserve all our client's legal and equitable remedies for this reputable disparagement of our client's character."

Before he signed the letter: "HAVE YOU NO SHAME!!!!"

Christina is currently on vacation with her son Max in Hawaii and her boyfriend of eight months Matt Rutler.

Report: Will Smith and Jada Separate - Zimbio

Today in shocking celebrity split stories that are unlikely to be true: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have reportedly separated after 13 years together.

UPDATE: Will and Jada responded to the rumors this afternoon, stating: "Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

Will's son Trey previously posted on Twitter that the breakup rumors were false. He wrote: "Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split! False information ... its not true RETWEET!!! Everyone can think what they want ... even if its not true."

Jada's rep also chimed in, shutting down rumors that the split was caused by the actress' alleged affair with her newly single Hawthorne co-star Marc Anthony. "All the rumors regarding Marc Anthony and Jada are false. Completely untrue. As for [the reports of a split between] Will and Jada, I'm not commenting on their personal life," Karynne Tencer told People.

Anthony's rep echoed the sentiments: "We unequivocally deny this. Enough is enough. There are families involved, children involved, friendships involved. This is NOT true."

The info originally came from tabloid InTouch Weekly, which isn't the most reputable source for factual news, but we gave this story a bit more credit because it was picked up by TMZ. Now, the site might be in the business of salacious celeb gossip, however they have broken some huge stories -- like Michael Jackson's death, Britney Spears' divorce, Brittany Murphy's passing, Paris Hilton's jail sentence, Mel Gibson's anti-Semetic rant, and more.

The alleged split seemed a bit shocking considering the famous couple appears to have a happy, healthy relationship and family. They're even Zimbio's 6th hottest couple of 2011 with a staying power score of a perfect 10. Will and Jada are nothing short of adorable together, their kids Willow and Jaden are pretty awesome, not to mention talented, and the couple made the world a better place by opening an elementary school together.

However, their relationship was a bit unconventional. The couple talked about their open marriage and admitted getting physical with someone else wasn't off the table -- as long as there was a discussion about it beforehand.

Will said in a 2008 interview: "If it came down to it, then one would say to the other: 'Look, I need to have sex with somebody. Now I’m not going to do it if you don’t approve of it.' In our marriage vows, we didn't say 'forsaking all others.' We said, 'You will never hear I did something afterward.' Because if that happens, the relationship is destroyed."

The whole open marriage thing is very tricky, and typically has a low success rate, but these two had apparently been making it work for over a decade. They said "I do" at the Cloisters Mansion in Baltimore on New Year's Eve 1997 after meeting on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air back in 1990. Jada auditioned for the role of Will's character's girlfriend but producers said she was too short. Though the onscreen relationship didn't work out, the two remained friends and began dating in 1995.

As of this morning, TMZ had contacted Jada's rep, Karynne Tencer, who said she was in the dark about the split. She said: "What? In Touch said that? I know nothing about this ... Lord. I'm going back to bed."

New Report Says Suri Cruise Is Anti-Social, Refuses To Play With Other Kids - Babble (blog)

She’s one of the most photographed tots in Hollywood with a wardrobe and doll collection that could match the national budget of a few small principalities, but is Suri Cruise having trouble making friends?

According to Life & Style magazine, the 5-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is having trouble getting along with the other girls at her gymnastics class at Chelsea Piers in New York City.

The mag says Tom and Katie “enrolled [Suri] in a class at NYC’s Chelsea Piers sports resort, but she refused to play with other kids so they assigned a counselor to help her come out of her shell.”

While Suri has no problem lashing out at photographers, it might be that the child, who is often photographed only with her parents, could be having trouble making new friends as she’s been often forced to play alone as she’s been shuffled from city to city around the world with her film-making parents.

Report: Marc Jacobs to Dior, Phoebe Philo to Louis Vuitton

After months of speculation and rumors about who would replace John Galliano at Dior, the latest report from WWD has Marc Jacobs in talks to take over at the storied French house.

The news flies in the face of the most recent Dior rumors, which suggested that LVMH chair Bernard Arnault would install a lesser known designer at the helm. Of course, if Jacobs is appointed as creative director at Dior, he would vacate his post at Louis Vuitton, and a major reshuffling at LVMH would ensue. WWD is reporting that Phoebe Philo‘s massive success at Celine makes her the frontrunner to replace Jacobs at Louis Vuitton (not to fret, Philo-files, she will reportedly stay on as creative designer at Celine, too).

None of this is set in stone yet–neither Jacobs nor Dior have commented on the report and a source told WWD that “a deal with Jacobs is not assured, but that the American designer and Dior management are so far ‘excited’ about the prospect.” And while the rumors about Jacobs to Dior first surfaced on somewhat dubious Brazilian gossip site Glamurama, if it’s coming from fashion news bible WWD, and with such detail, the moves seems imminent. The article still mentions Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci as a “dark horse” candidate though he was once rumored to be the top contender for the job.

With Louis Vuitton, Jacobs has proven that he can revive a brand, and with his own line, that he can set trends season after season. Above all, he always puts on a show (his last show for Vuitton saw models come out of old-timey hotel elevators, complete with doormen). WWD suggests that Jacobs’ star power could “eclipse Dior’s recent turmoil” which includes Galliano’s drama-filled firing after allegations of anti-Semitism and racism and subsequent trial.

Whatever happens, the spring shows next month in Paris will be that much more exciting to watch.
