Olivia Wilde Finalizes Divorce

Posted Tuesday October 4, 2011 7:07 AM GMT

Back in 2003 she married Tao Ruspoli and last week Olivia Wilde was officially a single woman again.

The “House” hottie’s divorce papers were signed by a judge on September 29th, marking the end of her marital union.

Olivia and Tao filed for divorce back in March, and both parties were able to come to an amicable agreement on dividing property and money issues.

This past summer Olivia told press, “The trauma of the whole thing has been humbling, and for the first time, I’m a little bit wobbly.”

Tibi Spring 2012: A Refreshingly Luxe New Direction, Plus Olivia Palermo’s Stamp of Approval

Five years ago we never would have said this, but: we were actually really excited to see what Tibi’s Amy Smilovic had up her sleeve this season. Really.

Lately, the designer’s cast her fourteen-year-old line in a new light, abandoning its hold as a Milly or Rebecca Taylor competitor. Instead of collections that are perfectly pleasant though always predictable, Tibi’s stepping into new territory: sharp blazers and strikingly full skirts, rendered not in flimsy fabrics, but luxe materials that merit a rising price tag (last season, a more lavish cocktail dress neared $800). The brand’s aiming for a different niche: stuff Olivia Palermo might wear, or at least, the kind of stuff that looks like it. Which makes sense, as the socialite, fashion darling, and soon-to-be website mogul is now the face of the brand.

Palermo sat pretty in the front row with Emma Roberts and Sophia Bush, stars with style more saccharine than that of both Palermo and this new, reinvented Tibi. This season, leather looks gave the line some edge, most notably in a perforated black sheath, and a cobalt and black color blocked dress with mullet hem. But perhaps most serendipitous for Smilovic were the pants she sent down the runway: silk, wide-leg trousers in both monochrome and print. A surefire way to grab Tommy Ton’s or Scott Schuman’s attention, these pants have popped up on some of the mostly stylish industry insiders this week (Natalie Joos, Barneys’ Amanda Brooks), making us wonder if they’ll have a trickle down effect. If these are the new maxi skirt of last season, Similovic will have much to celebrate. But if not, she still needn’t worry; there was much in this collection to sate the new Tibi customer, who wants to be girly without any of the previous frill or fuss.

Olivia Wilde Covers Allure October 2011

Posted Tuesday September 13, 2011 9:29 AM GMT

Adding another magazine cover to her credit, Olivia Wilde is featured on the front of Allure's October 2011 issue.

The “House” hottie talks about deeply personal things like her divorce in the accompanying interview, confessing, “It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to deal with.”

However, she says she gained perspective from the experience- “I got married at a very young age, so I sort of jumped into a stage of adulthood prematurely. I learned quite a lot.”

As for her rumored dating life these days, Olivia says her schedule is pretty sparse. “I mean, in order to be dating all the people they think I am, I’d need four vaginas! It is impossible!”

Ms. Wilde also shared the challenges that came with playing Justin Timberlake’s mom in “In Time.” "We were rehearsing, and I remember the director saying, 'No, stop! It looks like you're going to make out.' 'Nope—that looks like you're going to make out, too.' We were like, 'Oh, God.’ I had to find a way to think of him as my son… He's got these incredible blue eyes, so I imagined him as a little baby Justin. And he was able to transfer a lot of his feelings about his mom onto me. We're both total acting nerds."

olivia-munn-joins-the-cast-of-magic-mike

Ha! We imagine this news is going to make Lindsay Lohan suck down an entire pack of Newport's in about 13 seconds!

A new record - even for her!

Since Steven Soderbergh publicly shamed the hard-pAArtying actress by outright refusing to cast her in his upcoming male-stripper wet-dream-fest known as Magic Mike - and anything he ever makes, for that matter - he's gone and picked up Olivia Munn to take on the role of Amber, AKA Channing Tatum's love interest!

Nice!

This will certainly keep her career in the film world moving right on up!

We wonder how much longer she'll want to stick around The Daily Show?

What do U think?? Are U looking forward to Magic Mike?

Olivia Wilde & Ex Tao Ruspoli's Restaurant Reunion

Posted Wednesday August 24, 2011 11:28 AM GMT

Proving you can still be friends even after the end of a marriage, Olivia Wilde was spotted out to dinner at Gjelina restaurant with ex Tao Ruspoli and a gal pal while in Venice, California yesterday (August 23).

The "Cowboys & Aliens" actress and the Italian prince were all smiles as they passed by the impending shutterbugs, looking to be elated to be with one another as they carried on with their leisurely day.

During a recent chat with Marie Claire, Olivia explained the twosome's post-breakup relationship, telling the mag, "We're friends; his family is my family. You always have a choice to feel angry and not be friends. But I can't handle the idea of walking into a room and seeing someone I have bad blood with. I can't keep any negative relationship with anyone."

Wilde, who tied the knot with Ruspoli on a Washington, Virginia school bus back in 2003, filed for divorce in March 2011, citing irreconcilable differences.

Enjoy the pictures of Olivia Wilde and ex-husband Tao Ruspoli leaving a dinner date in Venice, California (August 23).

Scarlett Johansson, Olivia Palermo and Other Celebs Designed Some Shoes For Stuart Weitzman–Would You Wear Any of Their Designs?

Co-designed by Olivia Palermo

Red carpet regulars Olivia Palermo, Scarlett Johansson, Hayden Panettiere and Michelle Trachtenberg have all teamed up with Stuart Weitzman to try their hand at shoe design.

According to the release, proceeds from what Weitzman has dubbed the “Young Hollywood Cares Collection,” will benefit Marsha Moses’ research in ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston. They range in price from $425 to $498 and will be available online and in Stuart Weitzman boutiques come September. Panettiere and Trachtenberg (who co-starred in Ice Princess!) will be at Stuart Weitzman’s Madison Avenue flagship on Fashion’s Night Out to celebrate the collection’s unveiling.

So could a footwear design career be in any of these girls’ futures? Well, Olivia Palermo, the only one who isn’t a Hollywood actress, designed the only shoe without a platform and the only one we really like (Trachtenberg’s is made out of denim, crystals and snakeskin). Which is your favorite? Click through to see all four.
