Japanese Wedding Dresses – World Bridal Fashion

Sakura blossom falls 5 sm per second…
The intriguing phrase that I used in the beginning means that in this article we’ll talk about the Japanese wedding dresses. As you guessed traditionally Japanese weddings take place in spring and … autumn. So if you are going to get married soon and you are from Japan or just a fan of a Japanese bride style I prose you’ll find this article interesting.
Firstly, let me say a few words about the Japanese wedding itself. The Japanese wedding ceremony can be divided into 2 main parts: “Shinto
ceremony“ (the formal part in other words) held at shrines and “kekkon hiroen” (the informal part, reception ceremony) held at ceremony halls or hotels).

The Shinto ceremony requires from the bride the traditional Japanese women gown – kimono. This simple straight-lined robe wrapped on the brides’ body and tied with an uki must be of white silk. The white Japanese wedding kimono is called shiro-maku.
Colorful wedding kimono is put on during the reception ceremony and worn is called iro-uchikake.

So the bride has the wear two or even more kimono and change them according the ceremonies. As you see this is not very convenient. So for the contemporary Japanese brides I propose another variant. Find two wedding dresses: a traditional shiro-maku for Shinto ceremony and Japanese-inspired modern wedding dress
for reception party. Thus you won’t need to wear several kimono simultaneously, elaborating one after another according to the ceremony. And won’t resemble Russian “matreshka”. Remember, we have Japanese wedding here!

Rather fresh variant but I’m sure you’ll like it! If you think that there would be a problem with the second dress (I mean Japanese-inspired modern wedding dress) you are wrong. There are plenty of designers, both Western and Eastern, who find inspiration in the Japanese theme.

For example,  Aoyama and Motoazabu
. Their dresses, found in The Micie bridal boutique in Tokyo, would please you with the sophisticated back and bodice details, which make even simple dress chic and glamorous.

Then I liked Japanese wedding dresses from Setsuko Wakatsuki.
He “specializes on outmarriage?”, combining the traditional Japanese fabrics, obi sash knot and flared kimono style sleeves, serpentina-cuts and chiffon overlays with the Western style.

Of course, if you are lack of money to buy the two Japanese wedding dresses, you can rent them both. But the last thing that I can say there could be no future without traditions. And Japanese people are absolutely right!

Parts Of Kim Kardashian's Wedding Were Scripted For The Special

kardashian-wedding-script-portions-kourtney-scott-disick.jpg

You don't say! How shocking! Parts of a reality show being scripted?! We've never heard of such a thing! And from the Kardashians? We expected so much more from them!

Okay, now that we've got the sarcasm out of the way, here's the scoop:

While Kim Kardashian was getting hitched to Kris Humphries, the producers of her wedding special were cooking up something juicy behind-the-scenes. Eager to give Kim's sisters a little screen time of their own (and possibly tease an upcoming wedding special), Kourtney Kardashian was given a SCRIPTED scene with her baby daddy Scott Disick. The pair were encouraged to talk about their own plans for the future, which could include finally getting married.

But the whole scene was set up. Producers could be heard over their walkie-talkie system planning every detail of the "special moment." Then, when the day was done and the crew was wrapped, a lead producer thanked her staff and said, without a hint of humor, "See you at Kourtney's wedding."

Should we infer then that by next year, we'll have another Kardashian wedding to get pumped for??? Oh, we can just envision it now! The end of Keeping Up With The Kardashians cutting out on Scott finally proposing to Kourtney for real and we'll have to wait till the next season to know if she said yes. And then she'll say yes and plan a wedding that she'll try to have rival her sisters. And then the wedding will happen and Scott will leave her at the alter because he's just to afraid of commitment. And she'll cry and they'll cry and you'll cry and we'll say, "We told you so!"

There yo go, producers. We've just scripted her wedding for you. Now get to work!

Image Of The Day: John Galliano And Kate Moss On Her Wedding Day

Photo: Mario Testino/VOGUE

In a touching image we scanned in from the September Vogue spread on Kate Moss’ wedding to Jamie Hince, John Galliano delicately arranges the veil he designed for his longtime friend as she looks backwards, smiling. Despite Galliano’s public condemnation by much of the fashion industry (and the public in general), Moss (who is no stranger to negative press) was always supportive of the ex-Dior designer. This is one of the few pictures we’ve seen of the designer since his anti-Semetic tirade in Paris and subsequent trial and is, if nothing else, a lovely picture of two old friends celebrating a happy day.

Is It Okay to Wear White to a Wedding Now (When You’re Not the Bride, Duh)? Kim Kardashian, Kate Moss and Kate Middleton All Seem To Think It Is

Photo: Getty

Wearing white to a wedding when you’re not that bride? It’s the cardinal wedding sin. Or it was.

Kate Middleton famously had her bridesmaids wear white–and we don’t have to tell you how well that went over, particularly for a certain, um, callipygian Maid of Honor.

Two months later the other Kate–Kate Moss, of course–also dressed her bridesmaids and flower girls (all 15 of them) in white. Guests Carine Roitfeld, Bella Freud, Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney were also spotted wearing the shade at the wedding.

And now Kim Kardashian has jumped on the bandwagon, choosing white gowns that look remarkably like wedding dresses for her bridesmaids at recent nuptials. And while limited photos of Kim K‘s big wedding have been released, we already know that at least Lindsay Lohan wore white, and apparently the invite called for guests to wear black or white.

So what’s going on here? Why are so many of these celebrity brides giving up the spotlight (or at least a little of it) and encouraging people to wear white to their wedding?

According to Rachel Leonard, Fashion Editor of BRIDES, we have Pippa Middleton’s perfectly-toned butt to thank. “We can attribute this trend to Pippa, who made such a sensational impression,” Leonard said in an email this morning. “Her dress, among many aspects of the royal wedding, have had a great impact on US wedding trends.”

Weddingchannel.com editor Amy Eisinger adds that while the Royal Wedding may have kicked it off, the Kardashian wedding is sure to bring the trend to new heights this side of the pond. “The Kardashians are so accessible,” Eisinger said. “She made it okay to have an all-white bridal party.”

Eisinger went on to say that while she thinks the trend will stick, for the average bride it will be more subtle. “Kim had Kourtney and Khloe in very white, very bridal-looking gowns. I don’t know if we’re going to see that. But I think we’re going to start seeing a lot of cream, off-white and soft, romantic colors, in more traditional bridesmaid silhouettes.”

As for guests wearing white–a la Lohan–Eisinger says she still wouldn’t recommend it, even if the invite does call for black or white. “It still doesn’t make it okay. I would definitely check before wearing white to a wedding,” she said. But, given that both Moss’ and Kim Kardashian’s wedding seemed to ask their guests to wear white or black, Eisinger said she wouldn’t be surprised if a monochromatic dress code too caught on.

But before you pronounce this a revolution, both Leonard and Eisinger pointed out that this trend is not entirely new. “It’s actually a very, very old trend,” Eisinger said, who went on to explain that an old British superstition, dating back hundreds of years, held that bridesmaids should dress identical to the bride in an attempt to confuse evil spirits. Maybe that’s what Kim was up to?

All The Deets On Kim's Wedding!

kim-kardashian-kris-humprhies-wedding-details.jpg

We posted a few deets about Kim Kardashian's wedding, but now we have more insider information to tell you!

Kim's stepdad Bruce Jenner walked her down the aisle as she carried a bouquet of white roses. The 30-minute ceremony included a tribute to Kris Humphries's late grandmother and grandfather, as well as a tribute to Kim's late father, Robert Kardashian.

Kim read:

"I so wish my dad could be here today to walk me down the aisle. But I know in a way he is here, and I feel his loving presence all around me. I love and miss you, dad."

Kourtney's adorable son Mason was the ring bearer of the ceremony while Khloe and Kourtney, also wearing ivory, served as Maids of Honor and Kendall and Kylie Jenner served as her bridesmaids.

As we previously said, Kim wore a stunning custom-designed ivory Vera Wang gown as she walked down the aisle. But she actually had TWO Vera Wang dresses, another ivory dress, this time a back satin gown that she later changed into at the reception.

Kim opted for a black and white themed reception, with a just a slight hint of pink. Robin Thicke was in attendance to introduce the newly-married couple, right before they enjoyed their first dance to his song Angels.

The dinner was catered by Wolfgang Puck and included dishes like heirloom tomato salad with basil and roast chicken with Yukon Gold potato puree.

Kim Kardashian on Her Wedding Day: First Look!

Posted Saturday August 20, 2011 4:47 PM GMT

Stepping out as she readies for her walk down the aisle, Kim Kardashian was joined by sister Kourtney as the pair exited the Four Seasons Hotel in Santa Barbara on Saturday (August 20).

In an unsuccessful attempt to elude the legions of media members, the E! reality stars tried to sneak out the back door of the posh hotel while clad in comfortable white sweatsuits with Kim's featuring "Mrs. Humphries" embroidered on the chest.

The Kardashian gals proceeded to load into the back of an awaiting white Maybach before being driven to the site of the wedding in Montecito.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Kim took to her blog to comment on the momentous occasion, writing, “Today Is The Day. I can’t believe it’s finally here! Thank you so much to everyone who made this day happen!!!!!”

Set to walk down the aisle in a Vera Wang designed gown, the 30-year-old added, “You guys mean the world to me, and I want to thank you for all your love and support. I love you!!!”

The marital celebration will take place mostly underneath a giant tent to thwart paparazzi coverage - as the nuptials are set to air during a two day special on E! on October 8-9th.

Eva Longoria: No Wedding in the Works

Posted Thursday August 18, 2011 9:31 AM GMT

Looking for a caffeinated kick, Eva Longoria was spotted having some coffee on the set of “Desperate Housewives” yesterday (August 17).

The “Over Her Dead Body” babe looked lovely in a purple top and jeans as she took a break from shooting scenes for the new season.

As for the reports that Eva is keen to tie the knot with her much younger boyfriend Eduardo Cruz, Longoria’s rep says it’s completely untrue.

Previous claims said that, “Friends feel the pair is ready to wed, and this time Eva will have her fairy-tale ending.”

Enjoy the pictures of Eva Longoria spotted on set in Los Angeles amidst wedding rumors (August 17).

Kardashian-Humphries Wedding Memories Will Take Place in Montecito - KEYT

Montecito -The not so private wedding of TV realty show star Kim Kardashian and New York Nets pro basketball player Kris Humphries is creating a buzz in the exclusive community of Montecito. Details of the Saturday wedding are getting out including a list of guests that will be in the hundreds.

But not everyone is aware of Kardashian and Humphries even though they are expected to be on nearly every entertainment page in country over the weekend.

"I've been asked many times who are these Kardashian people? And I said they're famous for being famous," said columnist Richard Mineards with the Montecito Journal. Mineards began revealing details of the wedding in his weekly column in July.

"It certainly is going to be an enormous wedding. It will cost millions of dollars," said Mineards. I mean the ring itself that Kris Humphries gave to Kim cost supposedly two million dollars. It's a 20.5 carat sparkler!"

The wedding is reported to be on a private estate on Sycamore Canyon road. Security is already tight. with workers on walkie talkies out front, and patrolling on carts to keep inquisitive visitors away. Parking has been restricted . The iron gates out front have been covered up.

"It's an extravaganza profligate spending at it's worst really. Supposedly they're spending 10 million dollars on this event.
It's going to be black, white and silver. They're flying in thousands of white roses from South Africa."

And among the 500 guest coming to this event?
Mineards says. "You've got Justin Beiber, supposedly, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Ryan Seacrest, Jay Z, you just name it. It's celebrity social gridlock here this weekend."

But Montecito has not exactly been keeping up with the Kardashians to even know what's happening.

"I've never heard of them but they're celebrities in a narrow nitch of our society. Sort of a who gives a damn society," said resident Bob Burton.

Another resident near the upper Village shopping area, Bonnie Blomfield said she doesn't always believe the gossip about the stars she hears. "Sometimes filtered through the media I don't know if I'm seeing what 's real or not ," she said.

As much as Mineards is watching the event unfold carefully with catering trucks coming and going at the estate, and helicopters spinning over head, he says, "we're all getting sucked into it, at least temporarily. And then on Monday morning we can breathe a deep sign of relief, and go have a cup of coffee at Pierre Lafond.....yes!"

Jennifer Aniston Planning For A December Wedding?

Jennifer Aniston Justin Theroux December Wedding

Hollywood's hottest "it" couple just came back from Hawaii and, according to Star, Jennifer Aniston isn't wasting any time telling friends to block out a date in December for a "special party."

And according to OK, she and Justin Theroux even went location scouting on their romantic getaway — specifically Chapel by the Sea at Kauai Lagoons and Calvary Chapel Kauai.

Hmmm…

Sources say:

[We] assume it’s code for a hush-hush wedding. Everyone knows what Jen is up to, but no one is calling her on it. She wants it to be an intimate, romantic beach ceremony, as opposed to her wedding to Brad Pitt, which was this huge, splashy, almost impersonal affair.

Now, we know some people (including ourselves) have raised an eyebrow or two at the pace of their relationship, but if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen!

It's their life, their timeline. So ya know what? So be it!

They've both been around the merry-go-round with long-term relationships and those failed, so if their wiser selves think it's right, all the luck and blessings to them both!

Besides, we're DYING to see their future wedding pHOtos!!!

Kim Kardashian Has Engagement Ring & Upcoming Wedding: Will She Have a ... - Babble (blog)

65345PCN VHAwards10 194x300 Kim Kardashian Has Engagement Ring & Upcoming Wedding: Will She Have a Honeymoon Baby? Will Kim Kardashian get pregnant right after her wedding?

Kim Kardashian is preparing for one of the biggest weekends of her life, since we are just days away from her upcoming wedding to fiance, Kris Humphries. Kris presented Kim with a 20.5 carat engagement ring, and of course, she said yes! Who wouldn’t say yes to bling like that?

Now that Kim has a ring on her finger and will officially be a wife by the end of the week, is a baby the next logical step for her? And if so, will Kim and Kris have a honeymoon baby just nine months after the wedding?

Kim has not been shy about the fact that she wants children, and has even been quoted saying that she would like to have four kids. She seems to think that her experience with babysitting nephew Mason has her fully prepared for motherhood. I too, thought that babysitting and child rearing were the same thing, that is, until I had my own kid. Kim is in for a huge wake up call once her first little one arrives.

If I had to put money down on when Kim Kardashian will get pregnant, I’d say no later than the end of 2012. How much longer do you think it will be until she is sporting a baby bump?
