Donna Karan’s sportswear line has forever romanticized New York– it’s in the name, after all–and yesterday’s collection was what DKNY has always been: relevant and smart, never fussy. Those red and blue looks, in eye popping stripes and Marimekko-esque florals, seemed perfectly primed for the city gal who wants to put together a striking look when she really needs to be running to the subway, like, now. That almost aggressive color combo (a favorite last season at Thakoon, Rag & Bone, etc) takes care of most the work.
The same was true of the hot pink options: tweed tops, a silk blazer Elle Woods would’ve killed for, and a couple “mullet” style dresses that make us wonder if Anja Rubik’s wedding gown silhouette will garner mass market appeal (girls with good legs, cross your fingers). For the office-dwelling urbanite, Karan still offered plenty of black and white blazers and blouses. Though perfectly lovely, they seemed to fade against the rest of the lively, spirited clothes. This was a patriotic, statement-making collection, and ultimately, how much of that statement was intended to be 9/11 referential– and how much was just classic DKNY–doesn’t matter at all.

Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter have broken up after a love affair lasting three years.
Representatives of both the high-profile stars were contacted by celebrity gossip website Just Jared to comment on the current status of their relationship. Surprisingly, they were quite open to answering question on the topic and they confirmed that Kelly and Jeter are no longer together.
Just Jared’s sources told them: “The split was amicable. But they remain friends. They still really care for each other.”
Their representatives’ stance was in striking contrast to their clients, who rarely talked about each other during their time together. When they did talk about their relationship, it was always more defensive than positive. They were frequently seen together during the course of their three year-long relationship. When the MLB star scored his 3000th career hit, she was in attendance at the Yankee stadium to see it. She was also interviewed during the filming of his documentary “Deter Jeter 3K,” made by HBO.
Jeter is one of those athletes, who have garnered massive media attention during their career, not only because of their performances on the field but also for their high-profile love lives. Since his MLB debut in 1996, he has dated stars such as Mariah Carey, Indian actress Lara Dutta, Joy Enriquez, Jordana Brewster, TRL host Vanessa Minnillo, Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson, Tyra Banks and Jessica Alba in addition to Kelly.
On the other hand, Kelly list of former beaus is pretty short with names such as Chris Evans, Donald Faison, John Mayer and Jeter.
