Happy Birthday, Besse Cooper!
115 years. That's incredible!
Cooper was born in Tennessee in 1896 and moved to Georgia during World War I to find employment as a teacher. She has 12 grandchildren and more than a dozen great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Luther, died in 1963.

She was born in the 1800's. Think about that! Think of the things she's lived through, the things she's seen! Think of the advancements in culture and technology!
It's almost too much to handle thinking about it all.

We were so excited when we got that glimmer of hope yesterday about the possibility of a last minute host coming in for the VMAs.
As we reported yesterday, show executive producer Amy Doyle stated in an interview:
It's going down to the wire. Hosting is such a unique element. We feel we got it right by putting new talent on the stage like Chelsea Handler and Russell Brand. We're really challenging ourselves to find the right person so that the show feels complete.
Unfortunately, MTV updated their status after the interview, confirming there will be no host this year.
Boo! No host?!? MTV, whachu thinkin!?!?!?!?!
Ah well. It's still going to be a stellar show. Lots of great performance, tributes, likeliness of random crazy happenings, etc..
