Cate Blanchett signs $10 million deal with Giorgio Armani fragrances

Celebrity beauty contracts are showing no sign of abating as news was revealed that Hollywood big hitter Cate Blanchett has just signed a deal with Giorgio Armani fragrances.

And it's a bumper beauty deal. The New York Post reports that the contract was sealed for $10 million.

Already the face of skincare brand SKII, it's surprising that Cate, one of the world's greatest beauties, hasn't been snapped up by a fragrance brand before.

But it's good news for Armani, who told the New York Post that its new signing: "epitomises the woman for whom I design." So now she can add his perfume to her collection of red carpet dresses, which she has been wearing for years.

Giorgio Armani Ready-To-Wear Spring/Summer 2012 – Milan Fashion Week

Have you ever heard about Giorgio Armani’s new hobby – diving? It seems that his Giorgio Armani Ready-To-Wear Spring/Summer 2012 collection was snooped from the submarine’s viewport. However Giorgio Armani managed to see beautiful mermaid Coco Rocha through the seaweeds, who became his muse for the whole Giorgio Armani Ready-To-Wear Spring/Summer 2012 collection and even opened the Milan fashion week 2012 show.

According to Giorgio Arman? R-T-W Spring/Summer 2012 collection flair the designer favored Sea of Japan for his diving trip. This could be read in the textile palette: intriguing indigo, dazzling silver, royal cerulean, sea blue and green and of course in navy striped vest pattern. Also the marine theme was recognized in the shell silhouette on strapless gowns, which flutter at the hip, creating conch curves. And sleek silk skirts and trousers with a slit-front and bifurcated pant legs, kimono-inspired bias cut jackets with pagoda shaped shoulders reflected the Far Eastern mood.

All at once, the Giorgio Armani Ready-To-Wear Spring/Summer 2012 collection textiles were chosen to emphasize glistening water, cascading over the models’ body. But the gypsy-inspired tops were to my mind the only disharmonizing element.

In other words it was quit an office wear collection thus wearing Giorgio Armani Ready-To-Wear Spring/Summer 2012 collection clerks would fill themselves at the work place like a duck to water.

Rihanna Armani Jeans Ad

Rihanna is that you? You’d be forgiven for not recognizing the R&B princess in her new ad for Armani Jeans, given that she has swapped her fiery red locks for a bleached-blonde crop.

As the new face of Armani Jeans, RiRi joins David Beckham and Megan Fox as one of the many famous faces promoting the brand. In this, her first Armani ad, the “Rude Boy” songstress stars in a film-noir-type campaign, shot by Steven Klein in New York City earlier this year.

Rihanna Emporio Armani Ad Campaign Spokesmodel

Rihanna is the new face and body of Emporio Armani.

“Giorgio Armani is pleased to announce that Rihanna will be the new global testimonial for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans from autumn/winter 2011-12,” announced a statement about her new role. “The advertising campaign featuring Rihanna, the singer who won a Grammy Award this year and who has sold over 20 million records worldwide, was shot on location in New York and will launch in September worldwide.”

The “Rude Boy” singer will appear in ads for the line’s fall-winter 2011-2012 collections, which were shot in New York City and are set to debut in September. RiRi follows in the footsteps David and Victoria Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, and most recently Megan Fox as Armani celebrity ambassadors.

The modeling job is a big coup for Ri, who has already posed in ads for soft drink brand Vita Coco and a line of limited-edition Gucci bags. Earlier this year, Rihanna was named as spokesmodel for Nivea. The skin care giant teamed up with the Caribbean-born hitmaker to celebrate their 100th anniversary. Nivea even used Rihanna’s hit “California King Bed” in the campaign.
