Gwyneth Paltrow Takes "Contagion" to Venice

Posted Saturday September 3, 2011 10:21 AM GMT

Taking care of media duties, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted at the Venice Film Festival photo call for her new movie “Contagion” today (September 3).

Joined by costars Matt Damon and Laurence Fishburne, the "Country Strong" actress showed off her leggy form in a belted bright orange mini dress and sparkling peeptoe pumps.

During a recent interview with "Access Hollywood," Matt talked about what it was like to reunite with Gwyneth following their 1999 film, "The Talented Mr. Ripley."

"I was reminded of just how amazing she is, she's a really special actress. More so than anybody I've ever worked with, she's got an ability to turn it on and off. Like she can just be talking about anything and then when they say, 'Rolling,' it's like she snaps, she just locks in," Damon told.

He later added, “I’ve worked with a lot of great actors and one thing that happens for me is that a great actor is so good that they pull me right in… that’s how I feel when I do a scene with her, I’m instantly brought in because she takes me there.”

Best Dressed: Venice Film Festival Edition

Hollywood went all out with couture and floor-length frocks at this year’s Venice Film Festival. Marisa Tomei, whom we always love, stunned in mustard Marios Schwab. We love that Madonna paired her butterfly-adorned Vionnet dress with matching red shades. Diana Kruger looked fantastic as usual in Chanel couture. Natasha Poly looked like she stepped right off the runway in that flowy Gucci number. And we may not know who Vittoria Puccini is, but we want to based on how elegant she looks in this Versace gown.

Monica’s role in the flick is causing all kinds of controversy given that she has a one-minute nude scene during the opening sequence.
