Ireland Baldwin Looks Up to Mom Kim Basinger for Modeling Career

After signing with a modeling agency last month, Ireland Baldwin is staying focused on her career. The 17-year-old of Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger practiced posing on the red carpet of the New York movie premiere of The Company You Keep on Monday, April 1 and chatted with reporters about who inspires her.

The blonde beauty showed off her pretty pout to cameras at The Museum of Modern Art and styled a navy blazer, skinny jeans, scarf and heels. Ireland has officially signed with IMG Models and Two Managements and tweeted on March 5, "I'm blessed, happy, and ready to work."

Which famous models will she use as guidance for her career?

"I have a few, one off the top of my head Miranda Kerr," she told reporters Monday. "I look up to Kate Moss . . . and my mom of course." Ireland's mother Basinger, 59, signed with Ford modeling agency at age 16 before becoming a Hollywood star. (She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1997 for L.A. Confidential.)

The 6'2" aspiring model also said she follows a strict workout schedule to keep her in shape. "I work out twice a day," she said. "I do more of my yoga and my dance in the morning and I do my cardio at night."

In addition to looking forward to her modeling career, Ireland also says she can't wait for her dad Alec to have another baby with new wife Hilaria Baldwin. "I am so excited," she gushed, "finally I’ll have a sibling."

Hilaria, 28, who married Alec, 54, in June 2012, revealed on Extra last month the gender of their baby-to-be. "Alec and I are overjoyed that we are going to be welcoming a little girl into our lives," said shared.

Krysten Ritter Always Looks Semi-Retarded

Krysten Ritter seems like a hot chick who has a thing about looking like a trainable. I surmise with my little brain that some women get off knowing that they can go Daffy Duck and every dude still wants a piece. There’s no comparison in the male world because when dudes look retarded, it’s never intentional. They’re just retarded. Men don’t dress down or fuck with their hair or make goofy faces to keep women from mentally undressing them. There’s only two roles in the male world, alpha and bitch, and you don’t want to be a bitch. Women like Krysten Ritter can afford to fuck around in the gray areas because she could be bathing in a tub full of discharged enemas and with the snap of her fingers ten dudes would dive in head first to try and get some. That’s real power.

Porn Wonder Woman Looks Better Than Regular Wonder Woman

The picture you see above is not from a multimillion dollar superhero summer blockbuster reboot of Wonder Woman. It is, in fact, a picture from the new porno Wonder Woman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. By including the word ‘parody’ in the title, they can get away with completely ripping Wonder Woman. God bless America. The film stars the lovely and talented Kimberly Kane as the Amazonian heroine with a penchant for tying guys up and making them tell the truth, with her Olympian vagina. The first thought I had when I saw this picture, (OK, second thought), was, “Wow…that costume looks really good. Like, better than Hollywood good.” You may recall that last year David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman pilot was dead in the water. Supposedly, it was fucking terrible. Now look at the photo below from that pilot, which was bought by NBC. The porn parody’s production values are waaaaayyyyy better. Mind you, this is for a porn movie where she probably won’t be wearing it for long. So, we now know what we’ve always known. Porn is better than stuff that isn’t porn.

This Week’s Parties: Alexa Chung at Mulberry, Karen Elson Sings and Designs Shoes and Mischa Barton Looks Really Good

This week’s party highlights were for two very different brands, but both drew a similarly fabulous crowd (especially stylish Brits) and memorable music performances. Hayley danced the night away and drank margs with Alexa Chung Monday, while Dhani took in an amazing performance by Karen Elson and chatted with Mischa Barton Tuesday. Read on for deets and pics!

On Monday, Mulberry celebrated their 40th birthday in only the way that the quirky-cool English brand could pull off: With an all-out rager atop the Skylight Studios and all of fashion’s cool crowd in attendance.

We could hear the party’s heavy base from about two blocks away. Once inside, we were excited to find the party already booming, with a packed dance floor (which was a classic Seventies style, with lit-up squares and all), and party-goers enjoying margaritas and yummy snacks like mini grilled cheese sandwiches and delicious cupcakes. Once the band, Kasabian, went on, we saw Alexa Chung (wearing a trench tied around her waist, and a blue ribbon in her hair) and Harley Viera Newton get down on the dance floor.

Guests were treated to balloon animal hats (yes, like the kind you got at sixth grade birthday parties) and Rumi Neely and Bryanboy both treated themselves to some festive balloon sculptures, we’re particularly partial to Neely’s balloon fairy wings!

We capped off our night by taking a picture with Mulberry’s infamous blow-up bag, which for this momentous night had been made in shiny gold. Happy 40th Mulberry!

Last night, further downtown, Karen Elson and Nine West celebrated the launch of their collaboration with a soiree hosted by Paper magazine at hipsteraunt Beauty & Essex.

The highlight of the evening began around 10pm when Karen Elson and her band took the stage, but not before a glowing and accurate introduction by Sarah Sophie Flicker, who described her friend as a “quadruple threat”: model, singer/songwriter, designer and dancer. And she’s pretty remarkable at everything she does. We were blown away by her performance. Girl can sing. Her voice reminded us a bit of Neko Case and when she closed her performance with Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” we got goosebumps. That is one hard song to sing and she completely did it justice.

Unfortunately, I had to tweet about how that song will forever remind me of The O.C. and oddly enough, after she show ended, I turned around to see none other than Mischa Barton (whose very dramatic death on the show was scored with that song), who we hope is making a comeback. She looked AMAZING (seriously, see below for pics). Obviously, we had to talk to her.

She and stylist June Ambrose were being dragged out, but she had just enough time to tell us, in her subtly British accent, that she was wearing a Phillip Lim dress, those Miu Miu shoes, and a bag of her own design. She had just gotten into town to do “some stuff” for said bag line which is apparently in its ninth season. She wasn’t sure if she was going to any shows. Then, I told her about how that song always reminds me of The O.C., to which she replied, “Oh wow! No totally…um, that resonates for a lot of people.” June offered, “See, I think of Shrek.” Click through for more pics of Karen and Mischa.
