Words Of Reason From Jon Gosselin

Jon Gosselin Kate Gosselin Reality TV Career

Well who woulda thunk it!

Jon Gosselin is actually saying something wise these days.

We guess his Christian Audigier crisis is over…

After his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, expressed her concern for her family's future after her reality shows' cancellation, Jon basically said suck it up.

In an interview, Jon blatantly says:

Reality TV is not a career. [She should] get to back to a normal life, a simple life. Things will work out the way they should work out. Obviously, there are families out there that have several kids – people work normal jobs, and things work out. I go to work every day and provide for my family. I spend time with my kids – spend time on the weekends and enjoy a normal lifestyle.

This is true, it's totally possible for Kate to get back to a normal life.

We're impressed to see him grow so much, but to be fair, he was a big reason why she threw herself into her own show in the first place.

But like he says, everything WILL work out now. Good luck!

Can Kate Gosselin’s Kate Plus 8 be saved from cancellation? Some fans are hoping to save the reality series with a Kate Gosselin petition!

Could an online petition keep Kate Gosselin and her 8 kids on the air just a little while longer?

Check out the Twitition called “Dear TLC, save Kate+8!” created two weeks ago – it’s gotten just 664 votes at the time of this writing.

Where are the Gosselin family fans? Have you signed the petition? It seems there should be more supporters signing this by now!

The Gosselin superfan that created the “save the show” petition writes: “Please sign if you want the show to continue, it’s the least we can do! We love you Kate, Cara, Mady, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel! (If you do not agree, please don’t send me hate tweets!)”

Kate Gosselin retweeted the petition info, hoping to save her series as well: “@Kateplusmy8 2 Support Kate PetitionsPlease go sign ur choice 2 support Kate twitition.com/ch7z3.”

Good luck!

Kate Gosselin: Jogging Mommy

Posted Wednesday August 24, 2011 10:24 AM GMT

Keeping up on her fitness regimen, Kate Gosselin was spotted jogging around her Wernersville, Pennsylvania neighborhood yesterday (August 23).

The reality television star looked a bit cranky as she listened to her iPod, sporting a lavender tank top and grey shorts.

As for the cancellation of her TLC show “Kate Plus 8,” it seems Ms. Gosselin’s even-tempered reaction was far from the truth.

An insider told press, “Kate didn’t even learn about the cancellation from TLC until a few minutes before the story broke. Kate is devastated. She had no idea that her show was going to be cancelled, she thought this was something they’d film on and off until the kids went to college.”

“Kate thought the show would go on forever, she expected it to. Kate doesn’t know what she’s going to do, she’s getting lots of offers but hasn’t settled on anything.”

Enjoy the pictures of Kate Gosselin out for a jog in Reading, PA (August 23).

One fan tweeted: “@Kateplusmy8 It’s just a chapter in the past, but don’t close the book, just turn the page. The next chapter will be better than the last.”

Kate, on her end, is a little worried about what will next pay the bills: “@Livin4LifeLove I sure hope ur right! I don’t like this ‘treading in unknown territory feeling’. It’s scary … But alas I remain positive!”

Gosselin did tell fans they haven’t seen the last of her (is that a threat?), tweeting: “@PeggyScot very kind and thank you! It will not be good bye-I promise! I have 8 kids to feed:)& I know how u guys feel– I’ll do u proud!”

Kate Gosselin and the Gosselin kiddies had a photo shoot and final interview with People magazine over the weekend.

Kate Gosselin TV reality show gets the chop

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Mom of eight, Kate Gosselin's reality TV show has been canceled, broadcaster TLC said on Monday, ending a six-year headline-making run that made the 36 year-old woman one of the most loved and reviled people on U.S. television.

"TLC has decided not to renew another season of 'Kate + 8'," the cable network said in a statement. "By the end of this season, "Kate + 8" will have hit the 150 episode mark (including "Jon & Kate + 8"); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future."

The final episode of "Kate + 8" will air on September 12.

The show about life raising twins and sextuplets was originally called "Jon & Kate + 8", but Kate Gosselin and her husband Jon went through a messy and very public divorce in 2009, and after that Kate continued alone.

In a Twitter message on Monday, Gosselin thanked TLC and her fans for "six years of fun-filled adventures" and said she was looking forward to spending more time as a motivational speaker, writing books and "other fun work opportunities that may come my way."

"While it is very sad for me and the kids (there were many tears at the breakfast table this morning) we are looking forward with great anticipation to our bright future. As is very typical for me I am choosing to see the positive in this situation," Kate Gosselin wrote.

"This is not 'goodbye'," she added.

Jon and Kate Gosselin were first featured in a one-hour television special called "Surviving Sextuplets and Twins" in 2005 before signing up for a reality show in 2007 that followed their unconventional family life in Pennsylvania.

The height of their fame came in 2009 when they announced they were divorcing in an episode that was seen by more than 10 million viewers.

Gosselin later became a celebrity contestant on "Dancing with the Stars" where she was criticized by judges for being wooden, yet public support kept her on the show for four weeks.

But ratings have slid for "Kate + 8", to around one million viewers in recent weeks.
