Joan Rivers Calls Adele "Chubby," Says the Singer Should "Lose Weight"

Joan Rivers has no intention of easing on up Adele, whom she cruelly mocked during a Feb. 26 appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman. During the episode, the 79-year-old comedienne said she met the 24-year-old singer at the Academy Awards. She then made a gesture with her arms in reference to the new mom's weight.

"She was very scared because she was sining at the awards. She kept saying, 'My throat, my throat -- I don't know if I can swallow,'" Rivers said on the talk show. "And I said, 'Oh, yeah! You can swallow."

Rivers was asked to defend her Late Show comments during a March 29 HuffPost Live interview, but instead, she continued to criticize the British songbird's appearance.

"It's not mean. She's a chubby lady who's very, very rich, and she should just calm down -- or lose weight! She wanted an apology, so I took an ad out on her ass. I said, 'You are not fat.' And then I had room for a lot of other ads," Rivers quipped. "Adele is beautiful and successful and has what, $100 million? Let's face reality: she's fat!"

This isn't the first time Rivers has publicly commented on another celebrity's weight. In a now-famous 1985 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Fashion Police host called out the media mogul for gaining 50 pounds. "You shouldn't let that happen to you," she told Winfrey, now 59. "You're a pretty girl and you're single. You must lose the weight!

Rivers also targeted Christina Aguilera after the singer forgot the lyrics to the National Anthem during the Super Bowl in 2011. "She looked like a pig. How stupid can you get?" the I Hate Everyone, Starting With Me author asked. "Christina must have been thinking about food. That's why she forgot the words."

Even after Aguilera, 32, confronted Rivers, the comic made fun of the former Voice mentor's figure. "I'm at Spago's with [my daughter] Melissa, and we're eating dinner," Rivers recalled during a June 2012 interview on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, "and Fatso is across the way, and she comes lumbering over with that no-neck look. And I go, 'Here it comes.' She comes over to my table and says, 'You gonna finish that?'"

Take That Adele & GaGa! Gary Barlow Is "Sick" Of You Both!

He's not alone, but we sure as hell don't share his opinion. The more of this two lovely ladies the better, if you ask us!

Ya'll probably know Gary Barlow best as one of the fellas from Take That, but now, he is also one of the judges on the U.K. version of The X Factor. Considering that the show debuted to 12.6 million audience, we'd say the show is off to a good start, but Gary is hoping to make a change to the songs contestants can select this season. He's looking for a ban of all Adele and Lady GaGa songs from the show's catalogue.

Hear those crickets chirping, Gary? That's the world collectively thinking to themselves, "WTF?!"

As two of the biggest names in the business right now, you would think that Gary would have an appreciation for their music. Sadly, it seems he's grown tired of them and their music and even said so to one of their faces! (Charming.) In a new interview, Gary explained:

"This year has been all Adele, we’re sick of Adele. She came to one of the Wembley shows and I said to her, I’ve got to be honest – I’m really sick of your album because it’s all that’s been played at X Factor. Lady Gaga as well– we’ve really had enough of those two."

Maybe you have, but if the VMAs last night were any indication, no one else is. They're on top and how are you supposed to ignore that. No, really, we ask you. How are you supposed to downright ignore two of the best ladies in the business? If it bothers you so much, stick your fingers in your ears and hum while the rest of us bask in their musical talents.

Nick Jonas and Delta Goodrem: Adele Concert Couple

Making the most of their Humpday evening, Nick Jonas and Delta Goodrem were spotted at the Adele concert in Los Angeles last night (August 17).

The “Burnin Up” rocker and his awesome Aussie girlfriend were all smiles as they exited the Hollywood Palladium along with the sold-out crowd.

And it seems Delta has taken to finding a mate for Nick’s brother Joe, setting him up with her TV presenter pal Renee Bargh.

Renee told press, “Joe is a lovely guy. We get along great. Joe is just an awesome, awesome guy,” though she said they were only in the ‘hanging out’ stage at this point.

Blonde & Beautiful Lindsay Lohan’s Adele Concert Night

Taking in an artsy evening, Lindsay Lohan was spotted at the Adele concert in Los Angeles last night (August 17).

The “Mean Girls” actress made her exit from the Hollywood Palladium with the help of a pair of security guards while the paparazzi looked on.

And it seems LiLo was a little less than empathetic when her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson called her after getting a DUI.

Rather than share words of encouragement, Lindsay told SamRo, “Wow, you turned out to be a fine example... You'd think you'd have learned something from all those hours of boring lectures you gave me!"

Jessica Simpson Denies She Was Drunk at Adele Concert [PHOTOS] - International Business Times AU

The singer-entrepreneur used her Twitter account to deny the allegations Perez Hilton made that she was drunk at last night's Adele concert in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old singer rightfully denied that she was intoxicated while watching the Los Angeles concert of British singer Adele. The rumor started when celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton wrote about Simpson's reaction during the show.

"(Jessica Simpson had) lots of drunken swaying and singing and falling; she had herself a real good time," wrote Hilton, who was also present at the concert and just inches away from Simpson's patron seat. The blogger added that since Simpson seemed to be drunk "she mustn't be pregnant," a rumor that has been recently buzzing around Simpson. The singer, who's engaged to New Orleans Saints NFL player Eric Johnson, retaliated with a post she made in her Twitter account.

"There are rumors that I was 'drunk swaying' at the Adele concert last night," typed Simpson. "That wasn't drunk swaying, that was professional dancing!" adds the singer in the same Twitter post. 

In a recent post, singer Adele has admitted that she used to rely on drinking to honestly write her lyrics in the past.
