Lady Gaga’s Little Sister Becomes Off-Broadway Designer

Natali Germanotta – otherwise known as Lady Gaga’s younger sister – has been tipped to create costumes for Simon Says, a new off-Broadway show opening in The Big Apple later this year.

Affectionately known as “Baby Gaga” by “Little Monsters, Natali has been on the radar since appearing as an inmate in Big Sis’ “Telephone” music video and attending the CFDAs (aka The Fashion Oscars) to see Gaga accept the “Fashion Icon” Award.

So how did Natali go from just other famous person’s sister to landing a design job? Well, as a student at the Sacred Heart School in Manhattan, the 19-year-old interned for New York-designer Allison Parris and pitched her costume ideas backstage at the designer’s Autumn/Winter 2010-11 show.

“Natali has an edgier sense of style like her sister. Initially when she went to the Grammys a few years ago, she wore one of our little lace trapeze dresses, but she styled it up with leather and hardware. She is so nice and so easy to work with. She is such a great girl,” Allison told Women’s Wear Daily.

Considering Lady G has Thierry Mugler and designers Giorgio Armani and Nicola Formichetti on speed-dial, we’re expecting big things of Natali!
