Whoa! She's the last person from which we'd expect this!
62-year-old Margot Kidder was arrested in Washington D.C. yesterday during a rally outside the White House to protest the TransCanada Corp.'s Keystone XL pipeline scheme!
The campaigners were reportedly trying to convince Barack Obama to nix the $7 billion project to relocate oil from Alberta to the Gulf Coast, which has already been approved by Canadian officials!
Kidder says:
"It's bound to leak… They always assure us these things are safe, and they never are."
When broken up by authorities, Kidder was charged with failing to obey an order governing protests, and was later released.
She certainly makes a good point, too! Here's hoping she can find a way to find a way to fight for this cause - just without breaking any laws!
